REALB: Beware of Imposters

 In breaking news

The general public is advised to beware of imposters pretending to be REALB Compliance Officers.

This comes in light after an incident last Wednesday, where two people pretending to be REALB agents, forcefully entered a real estate agent’s office in Suva.

One of the man said his name is Shavnil, while the other did not disclose his name.

According to a statement by REALB, the imposters took some of the agent’s envelops from his filing cabinet and left the premises after they were apprehended by an office assistant who threatened to call the police if they don’t leave.

REALB chairman, Dr Abdul Hassan confirmed that there was no inspection scheduled on that day by REALB officers and there is no such officer in REALB by the name “Shavnil”.

All real estate agents are advised to demand for an ID from any person coming for an inspection from REALB.

He also urges registered agents to report on suspicious cases to the Fiji Police and REALB.

The Compliance and Monitoring Team consists of Vinal Singh and his assistance, Azal Hussein.

REALB says they conduct inspections around the country and always has their ID cards with them.
