A sport never watched on free to air channel on Fiji One is coming into the comfort of your living rooms.
Fiji Television Limited managed to secure the rights for one of the entertaining sport in the world that attracts millions of viewers across the globe.
Fiji TV today announced they will telecast the World Wrestling Entertainment show in its free to air channel Fiji One.
Chief Executive Officer Karen Lobendahn says WWE Raw is a global phenomenon, so securing the broadcast rights is a terrific coup.
‘ Viewers get to watch one of the most entertaining sport and it is the first time we’re getting it to Free to Air Channel’, Lobendahn said.
Fiji Television Limited today announced that it has completed landmark agreements with WWE.
‘Its the relationship we have with our broadcasters and one of the reasons we are going further,’the CEO added.
This will be the first time WWE Raw has ever had its weekly programming air on Fiji Television network.
Next few months fans will watch the highlight packages while plans are to get live wrestling events in future.
As part of the agreements, Fiji TV will air WWE Raw on its free to air channel every Friday night at 9:15.
Wrestling fans will also be able to watch the WWE Smackdown every Sundays at 9pm.
Some of the stars that will be on WWE Raw and Smackdown include John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, The Miz, Roman Reigns, Kane and Bobby Lashley just to name a few.
