Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa this afternoon closed the Early Childhood Week celebrations for the Nadi district at Ralete Primary School at Moala Village in Nadi.

Speaking at the closing, Vuniwaqa reaffirmed Government’s commitment to Early Childhood Education.

“From Government’s perspective, it is very much about the future of the country. As you can see, all the policies of Government is all
focused on building the future of Fiji and when it comes to human resource, Government’s policies focus a lot on education – in ensuring a highly educated Fijian society by making access to education easier, whether it be through free bus fare, free text books, free tuition, or free weet-bix and milk for infant students in schools or indeed the care and protection program for which Homes of Hope is an annual beneficiary,” she said.
