“The vision of the Government is to have a better Fiji that will cater for all Fijians,” says iTaukei Affairs Permanent Secretary, Naipote Katonitabua.
Katonitabua today opened the Namosi Provincial Council meeting in highlighting five vital agendas that needed to be addressed and pondered upon.
Good governance, well being, economic development, conservation and climate change and the vanua and traditional leadership in Fiji were highlighted in Mr Katonitabua’s address to the Provincial Council.
“If we want to move forward, we must seek the good and right plan that complies with the elements of good leadership,” says Katonitabua.
The Permanent Secretary shared his views on the importance of knowing the welfare of our villages in order to meet the dreams of Fiji.
The Provincial Council were encouraged about more business births and savings for the benefits of their children and their future.
Council members were advised on their assistance towards Conservation Officers who have been stationed around the provinces in the conservation and climate change awareness programs around their communities.
Katonitabua finally stressed on educating the younger generation with the knowledge of the vanua and its traditional leadership so as to benefit them for the future of the Province.
