Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports, Iliesa Delana, has encouraged youths to use their talents wisely and be productive in their communities.
This follows the handing over of farming tools to the Togaviti Youth Club and a chainsaw and tarpaulins to Vunibua Youth Club in Cakaudrove yesterday.
Delana said many times we have seen youths engage in unwarranted activities.
He said this has placed emphasis at targeting youths at risk and those that are vulnerable in our communities. Through the non-formal education program, we provide youths a second opportunity.
Delana further stated the Ministry was ready to work with stakeholders to encourage and empower youths in Fiji.
The Ministry recently concluded the public consultation on the revised National Youth Policy
