The USA Ba Masters are eagerly waiting to make their debut in the RC Manubhai/ APCO Coatings International Veteran’s Tournament to be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from August 1-4.
Coach/Player Naveen Kumar said they were coming with an aim and that was to win the title.
“Our aim is to win this tournament as this is the first team from USA taking part in the tournament under Fiji FA,” said Kumar
The former Lautoka and national rep said they had worked hard for the tournament.
“USA Masters have worked very hard under my guidance since I have taken the coach and players role after migrating from New Zealand and we have won four tournaments already in USA this year.”
Kumar said they were drawn in a pool of death but would take one game at a time.
“We are drawn in tough pool but we have prepared well and will take each game at a time, “he said.
“We are very excited to play in this tournament with an objective to show our will be show people that we all are from Fiji and play good football, enjoy respect each other and fair play.”
Kumar said they have included five former players from Ba.
“We have good players travelling with us and we have also included five players from Ba with the likes of Jope Nagiriwatu and former Ba and U23 rep Akuila Bulewa.”
The former national urged fans to come out in numbers and watch the former players in action in a four day tournament.

Four overseas and ten local teams will participate in the competition after the pool were drawn yesterday at Fiji FA Headquaters in Vatuwaqa.
In Group A: USA BA, Nasinu Masters, Lautoka Master and Ba Masters. Group B will has Brisbane Masters, Rewa Masters,Nadroga Masters and Northland Tailevu Masters.
Group C. NZ Levuka Masters, Tailevu Naitasiri Masters and Rakiraki Masters while Group D has NZ Rewa Masters, Suva Masters and JK Nadi Masters.
