THE first Public Consultation on the Revised National Youth Policy 2018-2022 today went underway and was officiated by Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou.

“To the youth groups and youths, this policy is for you. We want to hear your views so that we can adjust to meet your needs now and in the future,” says Minister Tuitubou.

The policy has been designed to strengthen the roles and functions of the Ministry in the administration of its duties and to address the pressing issues of youth development targeting all youths living in the urban and rural areas.

“My Ministry is clear – we are the Ministry for all youth. We are now focusing on the most vulnerable to give them the hand up that they may need to succeed. I have spent talking to youth from all walks of life and it is important that all youth have an input into the policy in its current draft form,” said Minister Tuitubou.
