The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu, recently chaired a meeting consisting of senior regional police officers – aimed at enhancing capacity development training programmes, in the Pacific Region.
Fiji’s Deputy Commissioner was deputized for the Commissioner of Police at the recent meeting of the Pacific Police Training Advisory Body held in Brisbane, Australia last week.
The Pacific Police Training Advisory Body is one of the six core programmes pursued under the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police, with the primary objective to enhance capacity development programmes in the Pacific region, with key areas of focus being on Leadership, Ethics, Integrity and Investigations.
Discussion under this forum is guided by strategic goals aimed at identifying relevant capacity building programs and the delivery of the same across PICP members through identified partners.
Fiji’s Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho assumed chairmanship of this Programme early this year.
