Quick action from the Southern Division task-force has led to the arrest of three men who allegedly threatened staff and a patient at a medical center in Nadera yesterday afternoon.

One of the four men had allegedly walked into the medical practice and asked to see a dentist.

It is alleged that seconds later he and three others armed with a cane knife had stormed into the reception area, whereby they threatened and robbed the receptionist.

It is alleged that they entered one of the doctor’s examination room whereby they threatened the doctor and a patient before stealing a mobile phone, backpacks and the receptionist’s personal belongings.

A call was made to the Valelevu Police Station whereby all operational officers were alerted of the incident.

The Southern Division task-force team that were near Laqere headed towards the area and the three were arrested at Salagi Housing.

The hunt continues for the fourth suspect as investigations continue.
