Three Fiji Nationals grabbed top awards at the “27th Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings Group Skills Contest”, in Papua New Guinea last week.
The competition has been running for the last twenty seven years, and companies across the South Pacific participate, to win top positions.
The Learning and Development Department at Asco Motors Fiji – run a series of competitions throughout the year, to train and develop technical skill sets.
Fiji, Samoa, American Samoa, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, the Solomons and Tonga – have been actively participating at the National Skills Contest.
Winners from the National Skills Contest, win a chance to participate at the Group Skills Contest.
Winners from the Group Skills Contest – secure a place at the Global Skills Contest, which is held in Japan every year.
The Skills Contest feature four categories – Service Advisor, Technical Advisor, Parts Advisor, and Sales Consultant.
Fiji won three categories while Tonga won the Service Advisor Award.
The Team will now prepare to participate at the Global Skills Contest, which will be held in Japan later this year.
