Three of the four people arrested following the seizure of hard drugs at the Denarau Marina continue to be questioned by Police.

According to Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro, one of the suspects, a man remains admitted at the Lautoka Hospital while the other 3, two women and a man remain in custody.

The seized substances have since been tested at the Fiji Police Forensics Laboratory in Nasova and confirmed to be cocaine.

A joint operation by Fiji Revenue and Customs Service, Fiji Police, Biosecurity Authority of Fiji and Health Department led to seizure of 13 bars of Cocaine weighing 15 Kilogram and Ecstasy tablets with an estimated value of 10 to 15 million US dollars.

The yacht searched by Customs and other Border Law Enforcement Agencies at Denarau Port on Friday came from Borabora, French Polynesia.

It is also confirmed that $15,000 US undeclared currency, guns and ammunition have been detained from the yacht.
