The Fiji Roads Authority wishes to advise members of the public – that the Natewa West Coast Road in Vanua Levu, will be temporarily closed from 7.30pm on Thursday, May 23, to 5am, Friday, May 24, this week.
This is a ‘planned closure’ that will allow FRA contractors to carry out culvert repair works. Road closure advisory signs have been posted in advance of the closure period, and motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly.
The FRA says that during this time, access will be prohibited and there will be no detours posted, however the FRA says they will have standby vehicles available, on both sides of the crossing, to cater for emergency situations only.
The FRA apologises for the expected inconvenience – but for further queries, the traveling public in this area, is asked to please call the FRA on 5720.
