As Fiji Airways Mens 7s rep Amenoni Nasilasila awaits his fate in court next Monday, one player now has a chance to step up.
Tabadamu 7s star Terio Tamani may just be the answer or next in line if the need arises should Nasilasila’s case does not go in his favor.
The 24 year old from Ravitaki in Kadavu has been in the Fiji 7s setup for two years now after sublime performances for Tabadamu in the local 7s scene including their four in a row win at the Marist 7s.
Tamani made his debut at the Singapore 7s last year and is itching to make his return to the world series.
Another player that will claim his stake as well is Wadigi 7s playmaker Napolioni Ratu who made his debut for Fiji at the Oceania 7s.
The door has opened for Tamani and Ratu after Amenoni Nasilasila appeared at the Sigatoka Magistrate Court yesterday charged with one count of rape.
The case has been adjourned to next Monday.
Nasilasila is highly likely to miss the Sydney and Hamilton 7s.
The Hamilton 7s will be held on the 26th and 27th of next month.
