The stakes may be high at the 2019 Coca Cola games – but Suva Grammar School will be producing some surprising results.
Last year Suva Grammar proved that they were slowly rebuilding, and will be a threat in this year’s games.
Former Coca Cola games champion Suva Grammar School should not be counted out of this year’s event.
Last year they finished fourth on both the boys and girls medal tally.
The boys won five gold ,5 silver and 6 bronze while the girls claimed 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals last year.
The new age group system is an advantage for Garmmar and it will open up the competition as well.
Delai is optimistic they can improve from where they finished last year.
And when you have athletes like national rep Fane Sauvakacolo and young Meli Junior, the Lions will certainly be a force to reckon with next week.
Suva Grammar will field a total of 85 athletes in this year’s Coca Cola games.
