Shaun Johnson has given the Cronulla Sharks peace of mind that he isn’t getting cold feet despite head coach Shane Flanagan being de-registered by the NRL.

Still in Auckland, Johnson knew little about the situation but sharks captain Paul Gallen has been keeping him in the loop.

“I spoke to him yesterday afternoon and couldn’t be more impressed with his attitude you know, Flanno (Flanagan) was a big reason he signed at the club,” Gallen told Nine News.

“But he said the major reason is the playing group and he said ‘bro I just can’t wait to get over there bro and start training with ya.’”
