Fijians should have patrionism, the willingness to love and serve the country, says Minister for Foreign Affairs Inia Seruiratu as he officiated the NZ MFAT Protocol Training.
“There are two key words that define patrotism. The love for the country. We are citizens of this country and we are a sovereign country. Do we love our country? As citizens, we should love it dearly because patrotism is the love for the country and willing to serve and defend the country, said Inia Seruiratu, Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Seruiratu added that we must live in the world as it is although the world has change a lot because of the new drivers for change.
“We have lost some or most of our ooportunities in the past. Because we have not shifted our paradigm. The way you see the world must change because when you see it differently you will think, feel and behave differently.”
