A senior research officer with the Fiji Police Intelligence Bureau has secured a three years secondment term with the International Criminal Police Organization.
Robert Turaga is the Senior Research Officer at the Bureau and has held the post for the last seven years and becomes the second member of the Force to be seconded to INTERPOL.
Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho in fare-welling Turaga said he welcomed any training opportunity for members of the Force as it will open up their minds to a world of new possibilities.
Turaga acknowledged the Commissioner’s support in his effort to progress his career in the Force and pledged to utilize the 3 year secondment term with INTERPOL to gain as much knowledge as possible.
Turaga departed Fiji earlier this week and will be based at the INTERPOL Headquarters in Lyon, France.
