Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public that Mark Street in Suva will be closed for night-works between 8.00pm to 5.30am daily from today, Monday 17th December to Friday 21st December.
This is part of the on-going road reconstruction works for Suva CBD under the FRA’s 2018/2019 Road Renewals program.
Works include milling out of the existing aged and deteriorated surface and laying of new asphalt surface.
During the road closure, motorists are advised to use alternative routes:
1. Option One – Use of Cumming Street to get onto Waimanu Road from the city center
2. Option Two – Use of Raojibhai Patel Street, Vishnu Deo Street, Ellery Street onto Renwick Street to get into city center.
Also during these works, no vehicles will be allowed to be parked along Mark Street, with businesses reminded to ensure all customers and employees keep the area clear between 8.00pm to 5.30am nightly.
Other upcoming road reconstruction works for Suva CBD under the Road Renewals program include Joske Street, Murray Street, Pratt Street and Renwick Street.
