Speedster and NRL sensation- Semi Radradra will be joining the Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s team later on in the US for the Sevens Rugby World Cup.
This is after the Gareth Baber coached side departed the country last night without him.
The speedster was nowhere to be seen during the team’s check in at the international departure area and will be joining the squad later after completing his three weeks of rest as per his contract.
Olympic Gold medalists Semi Kunatani, Leone Nakarawa and Josua Tuisova are once again team that will be out to achieve another milestone for the country.
Baber adds the inclusion of the overseas based players in the side will add more power and knowledge of the game on a much bigger stage.
During their training in Utah the national side will also play warm up friendlies with the US Army and the Tongan sevens teams, two physical side that will give the players some competition before the main tournament to avoid any injuries.
Fiji will open their Rugby World Cup 7s campaign against the winner of Qualifying Match 7, either Japan or Uruguay on the 21st of this month 3.53pm.
