Employers from the 10 sectoral industries today gathered at the Tanoa Plaza in Suva to express their views on the national minimum wage and wages regulation.

This follows a 4 day public consultation carried out by the Ministry of Employment this week. The purpose of these consultations is to meet with workers, employers, municipalities and the public on the review of the NMW and the minimum wage rates for the sectoral industries based on the outcome of the Wage Survey Report of the Consultant produced in May 2017.

Following these consultations, the Employment Relations Advisory Board will put together a report for the Minister of Employment before a final submission is made to Cabinet.
