Major increase in fuel prices will come into effect from Monday 15 July.

Motor Spirit will increase by 18 cents per litre.

Premix will increase from $1.84 to $2.02 per litre.

Kerosene will increase by 8 cents and the new price will be $1.62 per litre.

and Diesel will increase from $1.82 to $1.89 per litter.

Meanwhile price of LPG products will also increase.

4.5kg Cylinder will increase by 57 cents and the new price will be $13.46 cents.

12kg Cylinder will from $34.37 to $35.89, an increase of $1.52.

13kg Cylinder will also increase by $1.65.

Price of Bulk will increase by 11 cents to $2.52 per kg.

Auto Gas will stand at $1.69 after a 7 cents increase.

Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission Acting CEO Senikavika Jiuta says trade issues between the U.S and China has lead to this increase.

Juita says the prices is determined by the movement in the international prices of petroleum and LPG products since the last quarter.

Traders have been warned to not use the new price increase before Monday.
