His Excellency the President Major-General (retired) Jioji Konrote this morning opened a $5million warehouse for Rosie Holidays.
In what is another first for Fiji, Rosie has completed construction of a new purpose built three-storey complex in Nadi catering for the growing and lucrative overseas Meetings and Incentives (MICE) market.
The new warehouse will provide storage for over 250,000 items and props that Rosie
deploys as part of their event team and management services.
Tony Whitton, Managing Director of the Rosie Travel Group says their new investment shows Rosie’s strong confidence in Fiji’s growing meetings, conferencing and incentives market.
“Fiji of course is a popular destination for families and honeymooners. Yet, three per cent of total visitors to Fiji come as part of this high yielding meetings and incentives market. In fact, a recent study commissioned by Tourism New Zealand estimates that this market on a per visitor basis spends two or three times as much as a leisure visitor, ” Whitton said.
