His Excellency the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received Kiribati’s new High Commissioner to Fiji His Excellency Mr David Teaabo at Borron House today

High Commissioner Teaabo presented his credentials today to President Konrote after inspecting a guard of honour mounted by members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

Prior to his appointment to Fiji, the envoy has served as acting first secretary to Kiribati’s High Commission in Fiji since 2013 after which he served as Acting Head of Mission from April to May this year.

High Commissioner Teaabo began his career as a Secretary General of Kiribati Red Cross Society in 2004 and also served as Deputy Executive Director and NGO Development officer Kiribati Association of NGO’s (KANGO) secretariat in 2010.

He completed his Professional Certificate in Development Diplomacy in 2015 and also graduated with certificate in Project Management from Curtin University, Western Australia in 2007.
