Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has high hopes that the Flying Fijians will perform to their level best – at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Bainimarama who is also the President of the Fiji Rugby Union says, the Flying Fijians will be competing on one of the grand stages in sport, and will need to play at their very best.

Speaking at the “Sayonara Gala Dinner” in Nadi on Tuesday Night, he challenged the players to be ready for a new chapter.

He says its every players dream to don the National jumper – but only those who are the best are selected, for that white jersey.

Fiji was the last Pacific Island team to reach the quarters of a Rugby World Cup, and have been tipped as a genuine contender, to match the performances from 1987 to 2007.
