This was highlighted by the Hon. Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while officiating at the Namosi Provincial Council meeting held at the Ro Kuruduadua office complex in Navua today.
Prime Minister Bainimarama commended the work and commitment of the traditional leaders within the province.
“You’ve shown you’re committed to working with my Government to put those building blocks in place for the communities you represent, and because our economy has done so well, we are delivering unprecedented development to your Province.”
“This year alone we’ve already completed a new hospital in Namelimeli, and as I speak to you now, we’re extending our national electricity grid to Naqarawai and Wainikoroiluva, and bringing solar power to Naqara and Nukusere and Navunisoco.”
Prime Minister Bainimarama highlighted new developments that will be undertaken this and this includes building a new Farmers Collection Centre Co-operative, and a new evacuation centre in Saliadrau.
“We’re completing a new Ministry of Agriculture Office to serve your Province, and new water projects in Wainadoi, Nakuvu Primary School, Wainilotuvelu Primary, Nakavika and Nukusere. And soon, we’ll begin work on a brand-new access road stretching from Nasoqo to Wainiyavu.”
The two-day meeting will focus on issues relating to Good governance, well-being of the people of Namosi, Economic empowerment, Conservation and Climate Change and importance of Traditional leadership within the province.
