The chairman of the Public Service Commission has expressed his condolences following the passing away of the Permanent Secretary for Fisheries, Sanaila Naqali.
Vishnu Mohan said that Naqali had a long career in serving the Fijian public, rising through the ranks of both civil service and the Fiji Navy.
He added that it is with great remorse that the Public Service Commission learned of his passing this morning.
Before being appointed to his role as Permanent Secretary in September of last year, Naqali served as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Fisheries and Forests.
He was also previously a senior manager in the Fijian Civil Service, and formerly served as a senior officer in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces’ Naval Division.
