History was made yesterday as key Pacific Island Players from all of Europe’s major Rugby Union & Rugby League competitions met in Bristol.

This could be seen as the way forward for Pacific Island nations in the sport as the set up is aimed to support over 600 professional and semi professional players across the Continent.

The meeting was for these players to discuss all aspects of welfare issues which affect them.

Former Flying Fijians Flanker- Netani Talei and former New Zealand rugby player- Charles Piutau were also among the group.
