A six week advanced national prosecution course which is said to upskill officers of the law was today officially opened in Suva.
The Chief Magistrate, of the Office of the Director of public prosecution Usaia Ratuvili, officially opened the intensive six week 4th ODPP Advanced National Prosecution Course today.
The Course is designed to further hone prosecutors trial preparation skills and advocacy at the bar table.
Ratuvili in his speech exorted all participants to focus on the six-week course ahead of them and acquire the necessary skills for prosecuting a criminal case in court.
Attending the course are twenty eight officers from the Fiji Police Summary Prosecutions Division and 2 officers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
The Advanced National Prosecution Course will run from 2nd July to 10 August 2018 and is open to all summary criminal prosecutors.
