The National Training and Productivity Center launched their first-ever Industry Discussion Forum Report 2018 at their Narere Campus Today.
NTPC Director-Dr. Isimeli Tagicakiverata says one of the main Objectives of the Report is to improve NTPC’s training deliverables to Bridge Current and Future Industry skills Gap and to Initiate Industry engagement on Program Review and Development.
The Report identified one of the Skills Gap Training needs from the various Organizations that were surveyed was in OHS Training, Information Technology and Customer Service.
Tagicakiverata says one of the challenges highlighted in the Report is the lack and the need to improve in soft skills like Ethics. The IDF Report Team visited 230 organizations from around Fiji.
Fiji Hoteliers Tourism Association CEO-Fantasha Lockington congratulated the Team on compiling the Report that is vital in improving performance by up-grading skills training in the Industries in Fiji.
NTPC offers about 2000 short courses mostly focused on employees in the industry and is mandated to promote Productivity and Business Excellence. The IDF Report took 2 months to compile.
