The National Fire Authority is continuing with investigations today on the cause of the fire, that broke out in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.
NFA’s Chief Executive Officer – Manasa Lesuma confirmed, that the call was received fourteen minutes after one yesterday afternoon.
Lesuma also confirmed that the fire was believed to have begun from Ravendra store in maintown Sigatoka, and when the report was received yesterday afternoon – the fire rapidly spread from Ravendra store to Meenos store, then on to Vinod Patel and Home and Living.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire from spreading to Courts Fiji Ltd.
The extent of the damage will be known today – as investigations continue.
