Former Chief Economic Planning Officer for Policy at the Office of the Prime Minister, Josefo Seniwatui Navuku has been officially appointed as the new Commissioner for the Central Division.
Navuku takes over from former Commissioner Central, Setareki Tale who retired late last year.
Navuku said that he will use his experience from the Office of the Prime Minister especially in carrying out innovative development programs.
He says the three priorities that he aims would bring into the Central Division is to Strengthen the Information Management coordination, second is to make the office a one stop shop for the five provinces and also to empower the team as he believes they are leaders in their different fields.
Navuku will be looking after the five provinces in the Central Division, comprising of Rewa, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Serua and Namosi.
