The National Fire Authority receives Fiji’s first 20,000 Liters water tanker fire truck at their Headquarters in Suva today.

This government funded truck cost $1M and will enhance the fire fighters work in putting out fire given that it has the ability to pump 2200 Liters of water per minute.

“Government needs to spend more money in equipping the National Fire Authority”, said the Minister Industry,Trade Tourism and Local Government, Housing and Community Development Premila Kumar during the Handing over of the new water tanker fire truck.

“Because of the lack of equipment and new gears,NFA won’t be able to fight the fire”, she added.

This initiative will help these unfortunate families get back on their feet.
