“Looking at the pool of death we have good pool we have Lautoka, Ba and Labasa and yes we want to prove the fans and the public that Nasinu is here to stay.”
Chand says his side has not qualified to the Premier Division to make numbers but will give their all against the top teams.
“We will give our best and know we have known who we will playing and we will be preparing to tackle them by taking each match as final.”
Chand said they were looking for some players to strengthen their side as the transfer window was open.
“Yes we are looking at few signing to strengthen our side but nothing is confirmed yet but yes for sure we will get some players,”
Chand thanked Cope Construction for coming on board and sponsoring the team for the Courts IDC.
“We are proud to say that we have secured a sponsorship and thanks to Cope Construction as we will be named as Cope Construction Nasinu during the Courts IDC.”
The side got promoted to the Premier Division after eight years and will play its first top level tournament.
Nasinu has played in four IDC finals and has won the title once way back in 1990 where it defeated Suva 1-nil.
The side is pooled with Lautoka, Labasa and Ba in group A while Suva leads group B together with Nadi, Rewa and Dreketi or Tavua.
The tournament will be held from the 5th to the 10th of October at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
