Fiji born Waisake Naholo has made the cut in the All Blacks starting line up for the Bledisloe Cup match this weekend.
The All Blacks have opted to start Naholo and Jack Goodhue in the opening Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup Test against the Wallabies on Saturday night at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
Naholo has been given the nod to start on the right wing.
In the tightest of the selection calls for Saturday night’s ANZ Stadium test against the Wallabies, Steve Hansen and Ian Foster have gone with Naholo ahead of Jordie Barrett to form a back three alongside the classy Ben Smith and the on-fire Rieko Ioane.
Hansen says Naholo, playing the house down for the Highlanders all year, doing everything he has been asked over the last two seasons when called upon at test level, and generally ticking boxes.
Naholo should recognise the opportunity he has been handed, and crash through those doors on Saturday night at the Olympic stadium.
