Parts of Nadi and Sigatoka will be without power supply this weekend.
Energy Fiji Limited is advising its valued customers, that planned maintenance works will be carried out on the 33,000 Volt – Qeleloa to Nabou transmission line on Sunday 3rd June, 2018.
In order to carry out the repair and maintenance, EFL Engineers will need to de-energise the 33,000 Volt transmission line, from the Qeleloa 33KV Zone Substation, to Nabou – from 5:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday 3rd June, 2018.
Power supply to ‘parts’ of Nadi will be switched off for safety reasons, to allow EFL teams to carry out maintenance work, on the 33,000 Volt transmission line.
During this period – power supply to the Maro, Sigatoka and Coral Coast areas, will be affected due to insufficient generation of power, to cater for the entire demand in these areas.
As a result, there will be a planned power shutdown affecting EFL customers in these areas, from 5:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday 3rd June, 2018.
The planned power shutdown will affect power supply to the following areas:
Parts of the Tunalia area, Parts of the Vunayasi area, the Christian Campsite and Part of Nawaicoba and Mandir Road.
The whole of Sigatoka Back Road, up to the Warwick Resort.
Works are planned to be carried out on Sunday – due to the low electricity demand on this day, which will result in minimum disruption to EFL customers.
