All Fijians need to participate in order to tackle the issue of Non -Communicable Diseases in the country.

This was the message by the NCD Adviser and Director of Wellness Dr Isimeli Tukana in an interview with Fiji One News earlier this week.

Dr Tukana revealed that tobacco diseases has decreased and diabetes has plateaued, however the problem in Fiji is having a healthy seeking behaviour.

He added that the impact of NCDs in Fiji can be solved if the faith-based organisations, corporate bodies and communities work together.

Dr Tukana’s message to the public is to look after their health and play a part in creating a more healthier Fiji.
