Since its establishment in 2008, Fiji Fashion Week has made a huge contribution in the growth of the Fashion industry in Fiji.
Company Director – Ellen Whippy-Knight has always focused on providing opportunities on formal education for its emerging and talented designers.
Knight says there are now more opportunities for young emerging and talented local designers to pursue further studies abroad in some of the prestigious fashion schools in the world.
She also spoke about coming back from a Fashion conference in China last year under the One China Road and Belt Initiative and is looking to send more designers abroad through this initiative.
Knight says you can’t grow the Fashion industry in Fiji unless designers get a formal education. The Model Data base has also been filled for this years Show.
This years Theme is on Sustainability. Fiji Fashion Week lwill be held from May 20-25 at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
