Promoting decent, productive work and encouraging a healthy lifestyle are key elements to advancing competitiveness and productivity in the workplace.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Jone Usamate as he officiated at the launch of the Ministry’s Health & Wellness Programme for the Financial Year 2018/2019 at Southern Cross in Suva today.
Minister Usamate said that workers are the most important asset in any organisation and the state of their health and their valuable contributions have been given the highest priority.
He added that his Ministry is committed to delivering a safe, healthy, high quality and productivity driven workplace for all workers.
“Without a proper health and wellness, one cannot enjoy the richness in living a good and healthy lifestyle,” Minister Usamate said.
