Minister for Defence and National Security, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola this week led a government delegation to the Melanesian Spearhead Group Police Ministers’ Meeting in Papua New Guinea.
Prior to this meeting, the MSG Police Commissioners’ Meeting had met on Monday to discuss regional policing and cooperation amongst other things the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting to be held in PNG by the end of the year.
Kubuabola also visited Tung Naparau where 4 Fijian missionaries were martyred and the War graves where he paid respect to the 35 Fijian soldiers who are buried at the Bita Paka War cemetery.
The Defence Minister is accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho, senior RFMF and Police officials including the Ministry of Defence personnel.
