The Australian Defence Forces today (11/06/18) conducted a joint demonstration exercise with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
The demonstration is part of an amphibious exercise that would demonstrate to personnel how to operate in any scenario including disaster relief operations.
The joint exercise is also an opportunity to boost the Fiji military’s capabilities and also learn new ways on how they can better assist our nation during any natural disaster.
The HMA Ships Adelaide and Melbourne spent three days in Suva, working with Republic of Fiji Military Forces on a range of activities, including disaster assistance planning, multinational naval maneuvers and defense and security training.
Eight members of the RFMF were aboard HMAS Adelaide during the transit from Sydney to Suva, working alongside their Australian counterparts at sea.
