The Suva High Court has found Timoci Lolohea guilty of murdering his de-facto partner Elenoa Dicovi.
This decision was made after all three assessors in the trial found him guilty.
Timoci Tupou Lolohea could be looking at a possible minimum sentence of 15 years imprisonment.
This was a sentence submission given in by his defence lawyer Lisiate Qetaki.
Prosecutor Siteri Navia had earlier pushed for a minimum of 30 years imprisonment before settling for a 10- 20 sentence.
It was also revealed that Lolohea also had previous conviction.
Lolohea is charged with a count of murder and it is alleged that he killed his de-facto partner by stabbing her with two knives.
The alleged incident took place on 20th March last year at Nasilivata Street in Nadera.
According to the agreed facts put before the court, Lolohea was legally married and got separated about four years ago.
He was in a de-facto relationship with his niece and they have a daughter together.
According to the agreed facts, Lolohea and his de-facto partner started having problems and he was not happy with the fact that his de-facto partner had moved out of their flat.
Lolohea had surrendered to the Lami Police Station on 20th March 2017 and told the officers that he had killed the deceased.
High court Judge Justice Salesi Temo will sentence Lolohea tomorrow.
