The Permanent Secretary of Local Governments-Joshua Wycliffe has this afternoon confirmed the Department of Town and Country Planning awaits further information on the Submissions made to the Suva City Council.
As soon as it comes, Wycliffe says they will look at it and conduct their own Analysis.
He says the outcomes will immediately follow the due process, at this point in time the submissions closed on the 25th on Monday so they wait for the council on what its submission to them is and they will have their processes followed immediately.
He added as soon as they get it they will start processing it.
Wycliffe says they don’t have any indication yet on the amount of written objections petitions from the public but as soon as SCC gives it to his Ministry then they will know what is in there. As of now the Submissions is still with SCC and a process will be followed by them that will take a few days.
