The Labasa Football side will face giant-killers Nasinu in the first semifinal of the 2019 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament.
The Babasiga Lions registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Tavua in its final pool match at Churchill Park last Sunday.
Ravinesh Karan Singh scored a screamer before Solomon import Dennis Ifunaona sealed the win and confirmed a semifinal spot.
Labasa coach Ronil Lal said they have a lot to improve om before facing the giant-killers.
“We scored only two but we could have scored at least five goals in this match (against Tavua).
“Our strikers need to be sharper in front of goal when it comes to the knockout stages,” Lal said.
Lal said the focus now shifts to the semifinal clash.
“We need to make use of all the opportunities that come our way.
“We need to regroup well and come back well prepared,” he added.
The first semi-final kicks off at 6.30 this Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
