Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Koya yesterday evening opened the Construction Industry Council Trade Show at the Warwick Fiji Resort.
Speaking at the event Minister Koya said the construction sector played a crucial role in the nations progress by building quality structures and at the same time providing employment to Fijians.
“Construction Industry Council is doing exactly just that – building a modernized and digitized economy, creating jobs and generating economic growth, improving the lives of our fellow Fijians and improving our towns and cities,” he said.
“Your role is extremely important as you will be able to provide updated information on the latest products available in the market and at the same time, provide the relevant advice when needed, especially on building and building material standards.”
18 exhibitors are part of the two day trade show with three overseas companies while the rest are local companies.
