Joseph Parker is ready and willing to face off with former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, says Duco Events boss David Higgins.

Following Parker’s name being placed on a shortlist by ESPN as to Fury’s next potential opponent, the former WBO champion’s promoter has been quick to cement his interest in the bout, having failed to agree terms with Dereck Chisora last week.

Speaking to Stuff this morning, Higgins outlined that Parker would have no issue with coming up against Fury, as both fighters bid for a return to a possible world title fight against either Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder.

“We have said Joseph Parker will fight anyone, anywhere if the terms are fair and that stands. We would fight Tyson Fury,” Higgins said.

“But it’s a risk-return business. Parker-Fury would generate huge revenue.

Any heavyweight can beat another heavyweight and if the terms were right and fair we will fight Fury. But it would have to be a substantial offer.”

Any proposed fight would be Parker’s second with a Fury, having beaten cousin Hughie in Manchester in 2017.
