Fiji Commonwealth Games gold medalist Eileen Cikamatana has not confirmed which country she is interested in representing next.
Speaking to Fiji One News from New Caledonia today, Cikamatana said she would not reveal the country as of now.
But she said it’s a country in the Pacific.
Cikamatana also confirmed that she will not represent Fiji again.
On the 25th of June this year Cikamatana sent an official note to the General Secretary of Weightlifting Fiji advising him that she no longer wished to be part of WF and resign from all activities of the national body.
Two days later she received confirmation from Weightlifting Fiji confirming they have accepted her resignation.
Last week Cikamatana said the damage was too severe to be mended and she had no intention to compete for Weightlifitng Fiji.
She said she fully understood if whe was going to miss out on the Olympics.
Cikamatana was part of the Levuka weightlifting club boycott of the Oceania championship three and half months ago.
Meanwhile, Fiji National Sports Commission Chairman Peter Mazey said Weightlifting Fiji has agreed to meet with all of the athletes involved next month.
Mazey also confirmed that Iranian coach Hossein Tavakkoli is no longer paid by the commission after leaving the country just one month in the office.
