The leader of the Opposition has also shared an important message in the World Press Freedom Day 2018 .
Ro Teimumu Kepa in her statement says that people and governments have at one point or another had their moments of highs and lows with the Press and given the varied opinions that exist, this is likely to continue which is a good sign for the evolution of the culture of human rights and democracy
She also pay a special tribute to individuals and organizations who have continued to contribute towards the evolution of the freedom of the Press.
Ro Teimumu adds that it is important to ensure that there is professional journalism and freedom for the Press to allow them the scope to create meaningful discussions and pave the way to a knowledge-based society.
The Leader of the Opposition says that the Press is in fact the fourth arm of the State which links the Government with the people.
