Preparations are well underway for the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians this week, as they gets ready to face their Pacific rivals – Manu Samoa this weekend.
Flying Fijians Head Coach – John McKee says, going up against Samoa will not be easy, thus the need to look into forming some good combinations for the team, this weekend.
Despite losing 13 points to 10 to USA, Samoa is expected to provide a tough battle in their final 2019 Pacific Nations Cup match, as they will take on the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians in Suva, this Saturday.
Head Coach, John McKee knows what a physical side the Samoans are, but the Fijians have been behind each other this week, preparing well for their match.
The Flying Fijians got their first Pacific Nations Cup Victory over Canada 38-13, but will be out of contest for the Cup- for the first time since 2014.
Fiji remains in 9th place in the world ranking despite the win over Canada last week.
While the main focus lies ahead – the road to the 2019 Rugby World Cup, McKee says they will focus on Samoa first, this weekend.
The final round, Tonga will take on Canada tomorrow at Churchill Park in Lautoka while USA and Japan will play the title decider before Fiji Airways Flying Fijians’ match against Samoa at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this Saturday.
