The Human Right and Anti-Discrimination Commission welcomes the outcome of the independent investigations conducted by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).
FICAC has concluded following a thorough investigation that the allegations levelled against the Director of the Commission is without merit.
The Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission reiterates that no one is above the law and as a public office and as public office holders we must conduct ourselves with full accountability and transparency in the dispensation of our constitutional mandate.
The Commission, under my leadership, will continue with all of its independent audits including a financial audit dating back to 2008, audit of the legal and complaints department as well as an audit of the management systems and processes.
The findings of these independent audits will be presented to the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji.
