In its efforts to inspire existing and emerging cocoa growers in the industry, the Fijian government announced today during the launch of the 2018 Cocoa day, an increase in the allocation for the Cocoa Revitalisation program from $300 thousand in 2014 to $550 thousand in the current financial year.

Permanent secretary for Agriculture, David Kolitagane said the aim is to revive all cocoa fields into productive use and that we must celebrate and ensure the fulfillment of its theme “Let us revive Fiji’s cocoa industry”.

Kolitagane met with farmers from the central and eastern division to appreciate their commitment at a special event in Korovou, Tailevu.
